Missing A Punt? If So, Claim From Police
Marine and land-based police officers patrolling the eastern parishes yesterday [May 5] found a punt in the Harrington Sound area and are calling on the public to help identify its owner.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 9.15am on Monday, May 5, marine police officers, along with land-based officers, patrolling the eastern parishes located a punt that was found adrift in the Harrington Sound area.
“The punt, described as an eight foot Walker Bay, is apparently in very good, possibly new, condition. It was found with two new oars which are distinctive. The vessel has no registration number; however, it does have a model number.
“Any person who may have lost their punt in the Harrington Sound area recently or who may have information regarding the owner of this punt is encouraged to contact the Marine Police on 247-1770. In order to reclaim, proof of ownership must be provided.”
