Y.A.O. Baseball Launch Play Ball Grant Fund

May 6, 2014

The Board of Directors of Y.A.O. Baseball Bermuda have launched a Grant Fund to provide their most talented players with the opportunity to pursue their aspirations to play at the college or even professional level.

A Board spokesperson said, “Since 1995 YAO has provided the opportunity for over a thousand children from ages 4-15 to play baseball. There have been several players who have continued to play abroad past the age of 15.

“The YAO Board of Directors are pleased with the success of the YAO alumni abroad but realize that many of the best players have not had a chance to go on because they do not have enough financial support to do so.

“As part of YAO’s dedication to youth sports and commitment to provide our most talented players with the opportunity to pursue their aspirations to play at the college or even professional level the YAO Play Ball Grant Fund was launched in 2014.”
