Sonia Dawes Wins LDAB Teacher Of The Year
The Learning Disabilities Association of Bermuda [LDAB] recently named Mrs. Sonia Dawes, a grade six teacher at Bermuda Institute, as its 2014 Teacher of the Year, following a nomination by her student Xiaye’ Bradshaw.
A spokesperson said, “In winning, Mrs. Dawes received an all expenses paid trip to the LDA International Conference in Chicago, Illinois from February 18 through February 21, 2015, while the winning nominating student, Miss Bradshaw, received an Apple iPad.”
“Runners-up Craig Crichlow and his student Torronae Darrell each received a Kindle Fire HDX. Mr. Crichlow is currently abroad, and so was was not able to attend.”
