Government House Gardens Close To Public
The opening of Government House Gardens to the public each Sunday afternoon from 12.00pm to 5.00pm comes to an end this Sunday [Aug 31], making for the last opportunity for the public to visit them this season.
The grounds have been open since April 27 and have been enjoyed by many residents and visitors alike since.
The Governor, Mr George Fergusson, said, “My wife and I were pleased to hear of all the people who visited Government House grounds during the Sunday openings and took advantage of this wonderful area – and even more pleased to meet some of them.
“Our visitors were extremely respectful not only of the grounds themselves but also of the gardens being run by students from the three Pembroke Parish primary schools: Victor Scott, West Pembroke and Northlands.
“We hope to be able to continue the Sunday openings next summer.”
