Non-Mariners Cruise Raises Money For Charity
A recently held cruise in conjunction with the Non-Mariners event, sponsored by Work Hard Play Hard Entertainment, resulted in not only a good time had by all, but also a donation to the Women’s Resource Centre Bermuda.
Held on August 4, 2014 the party, which took place aboard MV Elizabeth, featured entertainment from DJ KEEM, SiiD James, and DJ Drifter, along the promise of 1,000 free Jello shots for attendees.
The party resulted in the $1,000 donation, which was given during a cheque presentation yesterday [Aug 11].
A spokesperson for the event said, “Acting as Managing Director of Work Hard Play Hard Entertainment, we donated $1,000 to the Women’s Resource Center from the proceeds of our 8 hour Non Mariner’s Party cruise “Get Wet & Wild Out”.
“In doing this, we hope to encourage others to think about the people in our community who need help and give something back. We are all in this together and we believe in supporting the local charities here.”
The organisers had previously said that partial proceeds were going to the Women’s Resource Center as they “believe that the issues that women face effect families and families make up the community. So by supporting women in their struggles, people are in fact working to build stronger communities.”
