Motorcycle & Car Collide In St. George’s

Around 1pm on Sunday [Sept 14] first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of The Sink Road and Tommy Fox Road in St. George’s.

“It appears that a car was being driven along Tommy Fox Road and a motorcycle was being ridden along the same road when the vehicles collided at the junction,” a police spokesperson said.

“The motorcyclist, a 25 year old Hamilton parish man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries were not believed to be life threatening and he was apparently later discharged.

“There were no other injuries reported however both vehicles were damaged.”

    They do not seem to understand that there are no two corners alike and that every corner has a safe speed.

    Every junction is a potential hazard.

    Eg : Church Road and South Road Southampton.

    Some our road poor road conditions and over hanging vegetation are a contributing factors.

    It is very obvious from the many posts that Speed appears to be the No 1 contributing factor.
