Photos: Bermuda Fudge Co To Host Opening

September 18, 2014

Following a successful soft launch in May, the Bermuda Fudge Co in Dockyard is getting set to host its ribbon cutting and grand opening this coming Saturday.

Offering fudge flavours ranging from the standard chocolate and vanilla, to apple pie and gingerbread, the family-owned company has spent the past few months working on production and ensuring that they can meet the public’s demand, with the grand opening set for Saturday, September 20.

The shop is owned and operated by Sarah Woodmore Burrows, who said they usually carry 12 to 14 flavours on their board, but this weekend they will be expanding the flavours to sample as they offer a peek into Christmas. All the fudge is made in Bermuda, and the menu changes daily.

“We’ll be providing our regular flavours, such as chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter chocolate, and chocolate mint, to name a few, and we’ll also be sampling our Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Gingerbread, Eggnog, and Candy Cane flavours, as well,” she added.

The Bermuda Fudge Company will host their grand opening on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 2pm to 6pm in the Clocktower Mall located in The Royal Naval Dockyard.

Due to the limited floor space, the Ceremony will take place in two phases. The first phase will be the Official Ribbon Cutting with invited guests from 12pm to 2pm.

I wish them all the best and much success.

I just wish more of the businesses were spread out all over the island. Dockyard is not the be all and end all of our island.

A lot of people like the idea of setting up in dockyard because of the tourist traffic however the 10% fee wedo collects is crazy.

Anyway I wish you the best and when I visit I’ll stop by and try the fudge.

    Dockyard Fudge is the best!
I bought some and it tasted sooooo………good! The caramel and peanut butter melts in your mouth.Took my mum some as they have sugar free fudge and she is diabetic. My mum wants me to get her some more. The fudge is packaged very attractively and can be given as gifts on special occasions. We took some to a party to give to our host, needless to say we all ate it before leaving.
It is so refreshing seeing someone taking a chance and by doing so helping others in the form of employment.Mrs.Burrows,all the best and may your fudge continue to grace our palates!
