Man Denies Using Facebook To Lure Teen Girl

Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Oct 10] a 32 year old man denied intruding on the privacy of a teenage girl as well as allegedly using Facebook to try lure the young woman.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to intruding on the privacy of a teenage girl in such a manner as to offend her, which was alleged to occur on 30th July 2014.

He also pleaded not guilty to a second charge that “by using a communications medium, Facebook” he did lure the young woman for the “purpose of committing the offence of unlawful carnal knowledge.” This was alleged to have occurred between August 5th – 8th, 2014.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner remanded the defendant into custody until 24th October 2014.
