Tourism Joins “ALHI Global Luxury Alliance”
On the heels of attending IMEX America, one of the leading tradeshows in the group meetings market, the Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] announced that they have joined forces with Associated Luxury Hotels International [ALHI], and are now the newest member of the “ALHI Global Luxury Alliance.”
“Bermuda is a fantastic destination for meetings and incentives,” said Bill Hanbury, BTA’s president & CEO. “I can’t think of a better way for organizations to motivate and reward high-performing employees than with a trip to our resort island.”
ALHI, with its 20 “Local” Global Sales office locations across North America, and its team of 60 sales professionals, will extend Bermuda’s marketing and sales efforts with meeting professionals, incentive specialists, association executives, convention planners, and business executives managing meetings and programs, the BTA said.
Victoria Isley, BTA Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, added, “The meetings and incentive market is important in building a solid foundation of business for Bermuda’s future, while expanding our reputation for genuine hospitality and incredible experiences. We believe Bermuda deserves more of this influential market segment.
“The island offers great energy, stunning settings, and unique character to inspire new ways of learning and rewarding high-performing employees and customers with a variety of world-class facilities and experiences. ALHI’s extensive sales expertise, network and reputation with corporate and incentive clients made them an ideal partner. We are proud to be the newest Global Luxury Alliance Member.”
ALHI CEO Dave Gabri stated, “We began offering ALHI Global Luxury Alliance Memberships to further support ALHI’s goal to be the very best Global Sales resource and provider to the North American Accounts we are privileged to serve.
“The addition of the gorgeous island destination of Bermuda is a perfect example of how ALHI is expanding with new global opportunities to meet the requests and desires of meeting professionals and incentive specialists with their meetings and programs.
“We are honored to be working with the new Bermuda Tourism Authority to help spread the word about today’s Bermuda to the North American meetings and incentive marketplace.”

These people want service and a product when they come and not an empty bag….I mean a bag filled with some pink sand, contrived “local cuisine” .etc. How is a foreign fish sandwich a part of local cuisine I don’t know.? sS joining is admirable, but we do not have the standards of service here to really benefit and demonstrate what our guests want. Walk into any store right now and you will wait while they chew gum, suck their teeth or send their blackberry messages. MESSAGES. Not just one while you wait to buy.
