Mount Saint Agnes Academy hosted a Remembrance Day service on Monday [Nov 10] with those in attendance including President of the Bermuda War Veteran’s Association Jack Lightbourn and ten visiting British Army soldiers.
A school spokesperson said, “This annual prayer service, presided over by Fr. Paul Voisin, CR, reflected beautifully the solemnity of why we designate each November 11th as Remembrance Day – to recall in thanksgiving those who have selflessly given of themselves to fight for the common good.
“Grades 6 – 12 students, donned with poppies, participated in the service alongside special guests, including Senator Jeff Baron, President of the Bermuda War Veteran’s Association Jack Lightbourn, Island Pipes Band Major Aidan Stones, members of the Bermuda Police Service, soldiers from the Bermuda Regiment, and ten visiting British Army soldiers.”
