Photos/Video: St George’s Remembrance Event
[Updated with video] Bermuda’s war veterans were honoured with a ceremony in Kings Square, St George’s today [Nov 9], which was followed by a Remembrance Ceremony at St Peter’s Church.
Wreaths were laid by dignitaries in attendance including Governor George Fergusson, Premier Michael Dunkley, St George’s Mayor Garth Rothwell, US Consul General Bob Settje, Regiment Commanding Officer Lt Col Michael Foster-Brown, Anthony Richardson and more.
The service was officiated by the Rev’d W David Raths with Melvin Gibbons and included St George’s Town Crier David Frith playing the bagpipes and bugler, Major Barrett Dill who played the Last Post which was then followed by two minutes of silence.
