Swain To Present Rowing Documentary

Michael Swain, the President of the Bermuda Rowing Association, is getting set to present and show a documentary of the history of the Head of the Charles regatta, called Head Of The Charles: The Story of the First 50 Years, at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club on Tuesday, November 18 at 6.00pm.

The event notice said, “Michael Swain, founder and President and USRowing Level III coach, has recently raced at the Head Of The Charles Regatta in Boston with 10,500 other athletes, along with 17-year-old Bermudian Lulu Hedstrom. He also races in Washington – Head of the Occoquan and Tennessee Head of the Hooch, with 9,500 racers.

“Michael will be giving a presentation and showing a documentary of the first 50 years of the Head of the Charles regatta.
He also recorded races on his ‘bow-cam’ and will show a boat’s-eye view of the races, as well as the clashes with other boats; full contact rowing.”

“You will see from Michael’s slide show and film that all ages and levels of experience can take part and represent the best of Bermuda spirit overseas.
