Fire Service On Scene At Tynes Bay Incinerator

[Updated] At approximately midnight, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] responded to the Tynes Bay Incinerator on Palmetto Road Devonshire, with two fire trucks and multiple personnel attending the scene.

Smoke is visible in the area, and firefighters remain on scene as of this writing [12.40am]. Details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.

Update 1.04am: Dana Lovell said the BFRS responded to the facility at 11.54pm, and found a “heavily smoke logged tipping hall,” and that as of this time, the bulk of the fire is out, and firefighters are now wetting down hot spots.
