BBFS After School Football Program At Dellwood
Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School [BBFS] in partnership with Bank of Bermuda Foundation will facilitate a 5 month After School program at the Dellwood Middle School.
The program will run from February 10th – May 28th and will provide Football and Futsal activity from 3:30 – 5:00pm twice a week.
Each week [Tuesday’s & Thursday’s] the After School Football program will be available for 30 students. The program will be based on providing a safe haven for those students, who would primarily leave the school grounds without adult supervision, until post 5PM. The post 3:30 support will ensure that all participating students, will receive positive male/female supervision, in a fun/safe environment.
The program [coed] offers the opportunity to engage in weekly discussions, whilst encouraging healthy physical activity, decreasing the risks of childhood obesity and or diabetes. Due to the generous support of the Bank of Bermuda Foundation and Market Place Group, the students will be provided with a refreshment and healthy snack during each session, at no costs to the students or school.
BBFS said they wish to acknowledge the support of the Dellwood Middle School faculty former Principal Mrs. Marshall, Acting Principal Ms. Tina Duke and Deputy Principal Fox.
“BBFS extends the sincerest appreciation to Mr. David Lang and awarded the title of ‘Honorary Coach’ to him, for the generous support of the BOB during the past 5 years,” a spokesperson added.
