Ball Hockey: Seals, North Stars, Nordiques Win
Recent Bermuda Ball Hockey League action at the PCC Hockey Rink saw the California Golden Seals defeat the Atlanta Flames 6 – 2.
The Atlanta Flames held a 2 – 1 lead at the end of the First Period, with goals from Peter Wootliff and Grant Bateman, while the lone goal in the period for the California Golden Seals came off the stick of Chad Cundliffe.
The California Golden Seals got goals from Troy Dort and Joel Ferrier in the Second Period as they took a 3 – 2 lead.
Adam Chevis, David Gazzard and Chad Mitchell all scored a goal each in the Third Period for the California Golden Seals as they recorded the victory.
The second match saw the Minnesota North Stars defeat the Toronto Arenas 7 – 4.
Adam Mattatall scored twice to lead the Minnesota North Stars to victory, Chris Grantier, Shannon Gosse, Ed Sweeney, Cory Caouette and Mike Gazzard all added a goal each.
Warren Miller, Glen Madore, Pete Brodsky and Cam Poland all scored a goal each for the Toronto Arenas.
The final match of the evening saw the Quebec Nordiques defeat the Colorado Rockies 4 – 3.
The Quebec Nordiques got single goals from JM Tremblay, Kevin Albrecht, JF Talbot and Robert Rego, while Christopher Merritt scored two goals for the Colorado Rockies, while Craig MacNeil added the other.
