Cameroon Bound Vessel Diverts To Bermuda
A Greek registered vessel — enroute from Philadelphia to Cameroon — diverted to Bermuda on Wednesday [Feb 4] due to a 45-year-old crew member suffering a suspected broken wrist.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre received a call from Bermuda Shipping Agency advising the Greek registered MT Authentic, enroute from Philadelphia to Cameroon was diverting to Bermuda from a position 140nm south of the island due to a crew member suffering a suspected broken wrist.

“The ship arrived off the east end of the island at 0630lt on Thursday morning and the 45 year old Filipino national was transferred by pilot boat St David to Ordnance Island St George’s for onward transportation to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.”
