Burt is making sense more and more when he speaks.

He used to be wet behind the years, but if you listen to his answers it’s clear he knows his stuff.

Shame that Bob Richards wasn’t there aswell, that would have been interesting.

    • Onion says:

Remember, Burt’s all spin. He sounds superficially good but fundamentally it’s all about point scoring and politics.

      • Impressive says:

Tell me how that differs from any other politician?? Oh I forgot the ones that you support are there for the benefit of Bermuda only,, Give me a break.

        • Onion says:

I’m saying that as a finance professional. It has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with his long pattern of spinning the facts to suit an agenda.

        • Trulytruly says:

Bob Richards is an example of a politican that doesn’t tell us what we want to hear. Of course he pays the price because people find the truth hard to swallow. I prefer the cold hard truth. Burt is something of a slick talker that appeals to those who know no better. He is still very young and has much to learn although he sounds like he has all the answers now, which of course he doesn’t as only 3 years ago he was part of the Plp govt that had run out of all options to rescue bermuda from the abyss. Even their platform offered very little in the way of turning the economy around. It would seem that we were just going to have to wait patiently for the world wide recession to end and then bermuda would bounce back. All the answers now though. Bob Richards had a plan and was confident that we could turn it around from within. That is what they are doing against the backdrop of continuous incoming artillery from the combined opposition. Against all odds the OBA are attracting inward investment and doing what they were elected to do. No always perfectly but a darn site better than alternative.

Bob Richards should have showed up if he’s such a great example of a politician. Seems like everyone else did..

  2. bluebird says:

Did we learn how to SUCK blood out of stone or just to borrow a few more 100″s of millions of dollars to pay those on the stage and in attendance.
The economy is not coming back,we are going to have to learn to live within our means.
LIKE BALANCE THE BUDGET,AND PAY OFF THE DEBT.

  3. swing voter says:

    I’d rather watch paint dry.

  6. Raymond Ray says:

Please listen to his, (Mr. Chris Furberts) last words before People’s Campaign Meeting had come to an end.
I ask this question, “If it’s not, then what Mr. Chris Furbert will we see more of; pickets / protesting in front of the Cabinet Building?”
That last statement you had made certainly sounded,(to me) like a direct threat. If so, then I feel sorry for them that are viewed as “the have-not”.
