The second last points race of the Flying Colours Mountain Bike Race Series ran in Hog Bay Park on Sunday [Mar 8]. The clocks turned forward costing us an hour of sleep but the perfect weather made up for it!

88 racers strapped on their gear to face the double climbs of ‘The Hog’.

The Small A Class saw Matthew Olivereia take advantage of Robin Horsefield’s loose pedal early and pull ahead lapping the entire A class on the way to his win. Chequan Richardson took second and Robin managed third.

In Male Novice, Daron Dowling crashed early and retired while leading the field. This cleared the way for Dirk Hasselkuss to win while completing 6 laps. Gabriel Wilkinson took second and Shane Mora got third. Both completed 5 laps.

In Junior Female 13-15, Cassy McPhee continues to dominate. Kaya Raymond Came Second

Next race is March 8th at Hog Bay “The Hog”
