Photos: Warwick Academy’s International Day
On Friday [April 17] Warwick Academy took on an international flavour, as the school hosted their International Day which saw students wear clothes representing nations around the world, and activities held to celebrate various countries and cultures.
The internationally-themed grub day saw proceeds go towards the Kirwin Foundation and the Bermuda Red Cross, with students asked to wear national dress, the colours of a flag or dress as an international celebrity.
Students could be seen wearing attire representing cultures from all around the globe, including Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East; while some students represented our 21-squares miles, wearing Bermuda-themed clothing.

The school was decorated with flags from around the world, and at recess they hosted a food tasting for the whole school, with students and parents bringing in traditional foods from countries around the world.
Some of the International Day activities included Scottish dancing, Salsa dancing, Zouk dancing, Roti making, as well as films, art, presentations and a diversity workshop.

Love this! So proud to be a WA Alum!
What a fabulous event! I was impressed by the organization behind the International Day. All classes were on board with great activities, and the students bought in by dressing in a costume that reflected authenticity and good taste. I enjoyed being there for such a fun and informative day.
