PLP C#15, 16, 21 To Host Good Friday Fun Day
The Progressive Labour Party branches of constituencies 15, 16 and 21 will host their Joint Fun Day on Good Friday [Apr 3] at the Victor Scott Primary School.
A spokesperson said, “The Branches of Constituencies 15, 16 and 21 extend their warmest Easter greetings to the people of Bermuda and invite constituents to their Joint Fun Day on Good Friday at the Victor Scott Primary School. After a blessing at 10am by area Pastors, there will be music, fun castles, and a neighborhood football game.
“In 2010, Good Friday was marred by gun violence. Since then the community has come together, conquered fear and begun to take back our community. This join Fun Day represents an opportunity for all of us to express our love of each other, our love of community and our respect for the message of Good Friday,” said Constituency 16 MP Michael Weeks.
Constituency 21 MP Rolfe Commissiong remarked,”The essential underpinning of our community is the family unit. When our families are strong, our community is strong. When families unite in fellowship and in community, it makes our community safer and our children feel nurtured and protected. We look forward to seeing this spirit on full display this Good Friday at Victor Scott as we continue to unite families and strengthen our community,”
“Many families are facing tough times and wondering when better days will come,” said Constituency 15 MP Walter Roban,”We are pleased to offer a brief relief from the day to day pressures and a chance to put smiles on the faces of outer children. This Joint Fun Day is an event for the whole family and one that we hope will build hope in our community,”
