Deloitte Donates $5K Towards Alpha Beautillion
Deloitte Bermuda recently surprised the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. 2015 Beautillion Program with a $5,000 cheque to be used towards the students’ scholarship awards.
The sponsorship, presented by Jessica Mello [Director of Consulting], was given during a ‘Preparing For Your Future’ Workshop hosted by the Deloitte Talent team.
Lloyd Holder, Co-Chairman of the 2015 Beautillion, responded: “On behalf of the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I would like to thank the team at Deloitte for their contributions to the Alpha Beautillion program.
“We are extremely grateful for the generous financial contribution to the cause but even more appreciative of your organizations willingness to invest in the development of Bermuda’s future captains of industry.
“Last week’s presentation afforded these young men an invaluable opportunity to learn about the requirements to thrive in the office space, business etiquette, career planning and setting professional goals. I am sure we will see the fruit of your investment in due course. Thanks again for your contribution to our Program.”

The Alpha Beautillion is now in its 14th year, this “Rites of Passage” program – which includes mentoring – endeavours to groom male high school seniors for their future in higher education, service and leadership in the community.

In 2002 I was part of the Alpha Beautillion program. It’s great to see this program continue its operations and grow from strength to strength. Deloitte, thank you for your investment in the Beautillion and these 7 young leaders.
