Marc Bean Charged With Offensive Language

The Leader of the Opposition appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [May 28], where he was charged with using offensive language.

Appearing before Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo, Marc Bean was charged with using offensive language by allegedly saying “You f****** political w****. You are a ten cent w****” and he will pass her along for a “ten cent lick”.

This was alleged to have occurred in November 2014.

Mr Bean is defended by lawyer Ms Simone Smith-Bean, and he pleaded not guilty, and was released on $5,000 bail and is set to reappear in Court in July.

Several PLP MPs were present as Mr Bean appeared in Court this morning.
