Somersfield Students Donate To WindReach

May 28, 2015

All M3 students at Somersfield Academy take part in a Community Project of their choice which encourages students to “explore their right and responsibility to implement service as action in the community”.

Somersfield students Asia Seymour, Victoria Mello and Jaedah Trott set a goal to raise $1,000 for the WindReach Life Skills Program which offers a range of formal and informal activities that support people with special needs.

To raise funds, the students held a movie night for primary students at Somersfield, hosted a viewing of Avengers: The Age of Ultron at the Speciality Cinema and raffled a gift basket at the Somersfield Spring Fair. In the end, the students were able to raise $1,200.
