Police: “No Suspicious Circumstances” In Death

There were “no suspicious circumstances reported” regarding the sudden death of 57-year-old George Simons on June 19, according to Bermuda police.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 57 year old George Simons and extends condolences to his family and friends.

“Initial details were limited; however it now appears that Mr. Simons was found in an unresponsive state outside a property in the St. Mary’s Road, Warwick area around 7:20pm Friday, June 19th by a member of the public who called 911.

“First responders attended and Mr. Simons was taken via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

“There were no suspicious circumstances reported.

“However, inquiries regarding this sudden death continue and persons that may have seen Mr. George Simons in the days prior to his untimely passing should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011, if they have not spoken with detectives already.”
