30 Year Old Man Injured In Collision In Sandys

First responders were dispatched to a collision on Somerset Road in Sandys at approximately 1.30am this morning [June 8], with the collision resulting in a 30-year-old man requiring medical care.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 1:30am on Monday, June 8th first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, apparently near the junction with Scott’s Hill Road.

“Details remain limited; however it appears that a car was being driven out of Somerset when the collision occurred.

“The driver, believed to be a 30 year old Sandys parish man was injured, taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.

“Apparently the car sustained extensive front end damage and was later towed from the scene.

“Inquiries regarding this collision are underway and any witnesses should contact Constable Denise Taylor on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
