Bermudian Artisan Returns For Engraving Event
Brown & Co. will be welcoming Bermudian engraver and wood worker Michael Dowling back to the island and its Fragrance Department for an exclusive engraving event this weekend – July 10 and 11, 2015.
Since retiring after 32 years of teaching, Michael Dowling has established an engraving business specialising in glass, metal and wood carving and in addition to Brown & Co. events, has provided such works for organisations including The Grand Philharmonic Choir and Wellington Winds.
Nicole Warren, General Manager of Brown & Co. said; “We are excited to have Mr Dowling back on island to offer an exclusive experience and opportunity for our customers to share unique and personalised gifts with their loved ones.
“At no additional cost to the purchase price, customers will be able to customise bottles from a wide selection of designer fragrances including but not limited to essences on offer from Beyoncé, Chloe, Davidoff, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Escada and Yves Saint Laurent.
“The engraving events are slated to take place at Brown & Co., 35 Front Street, Hamilton this Friday, 10 July from 10am – 5pm and Saturday, 11 July from 11am – 5pm. Reservations are not required, however, it recommended that customers purchase their preferred fragrance in advance to avoid disappointment.
“It is important to note that each bottle will take approximately 15 minutes to engrave. Therefore, customers are encouraged to think about any messaging in advance and note that it is especially helpful to have text written to limit the possibility of error. As fragrance bottles aren’t large to begin with, it’s recommended that messages are limited to three lines of text; fifteen characters per line.”
George Grundmuller, CEO and President of the Phoenix Stores Ltd. added; “Brown & Co. has always been a premier shopping destination that prides itself in ensuring its products and offerings make lasting impressions for consumers. Events such as this further demonstrate its commitment to deliver the unique and unexpected.”
