Photos: BTA & KBB Weekend Beach Clean-Up
The Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] and Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB] recently marked their fourth public beach clean-up this summer as the groups work to enhance the beach experience for all users, visitors and residents alike.
This weekend saw them clean up Elbow Beach, and previous clean-ups have included Clearwater Beach, Mangrove Bay, and Warwick Long Bay.
A spokesperson said, “Additionally this year, the BTA has played roles in the new transport hub plans at Horseshoe Bay Beach, the new beach experience at Tobacco Bay, the amenity upgrades in the works for Shelly Bay Beach, and the beach bus effort in the east end.
“Although the BTA has no authority over public beaches, it is keenly interested in doing its part to maintain and improve them to enhance the experience of all users, visitors and residents alike.

Fantastic effort. Nothing throws off my lower unit more than litterbugs. I was unable to assist with this latest cleanup due to working day shift this weekend but rest assured, I will be helping at the next clean up as BBIRYC are always eager to work in partnership with other organizations.
Awesome people…all of you! Thank you!
