Collision Results In Car Overturning in Warwick
[Updated] At approximately 6:58pm on Sunday [July 12] the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a car overturned on South Road, Warwick near the junction with Camp Road.
Fire Service spokesperson Sergeant Russann Francis said, “A single vehicle was reported to have overturned”. The Fire Service responded to the incident with a crew of four personnel to find that all occupants of the vehicle were able to get out safely prior to our arrival. There were no reported injuries.”
This was the second collision to result in a vehicle overturning on Sunday, with the first taking place on Middle Road in Southampton at around 1pm, resulting in a 42 year old man being in critical condition the ICU.
Update 4.23pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 6:50pm on Sunday, July 12th first responders were dispatched to a reported collision in the area of South Road and Camp Road in Warwick.
“It appears that two cars were involved, with one ending up on its side.
“The driver of that car, said to be a 29 year old Southampton woman and her passengers, now believed to be her 35 year old husband as well as their eight year old and one month old children, apparently sustained minor injuries.
“There were no reported injuries to the male driver and two male passengers of the other vehicle.
“In addition, EMTs at the scene indicated that no one involved in this incident required hospital treatment.
“Inquiries regarding this collision continue and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”

We need to rethink the power and size of vehicles being imported – our roads can not handle vehicles designed for highway/motorway use.
