Bermuda Cyclists Head To Dominican Republic

The Bermuda junior national team is leaving for Dominican Republic tomorrow morning [Aug 6] to compete in the Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships in Santiago de los Caballeros. Competition gets underway on Saturday with an Individual Time Trial and then a Road Race on Sunday.

Representing Bermuda will be:

  • Daniel Oatley – Junior Male 17/18
  • Dylan Hill – Pre-Junior 15/16
  • Kaden Hopkins – Junior 15/16
  • Matthew Oliveira – Junior 15/16
  • Cassandra McPhee – Female 15-18
  • Tristan Narraway – Female 15-18

Alyssa Rowse had been selected for the events but due to injuries sustained in a training ride she is unable to travel with the team.

BBA President Peter Dunne is travelling with the team, as well as Dave Collins who will be the mechanic.
