Bermuda’s Top 50 Twitter List For Sept 2015

Bermuda sails into the America’s Cup World Series in October, and the Bermuda Top 50 Twitter List gets a yachting update.

Three accounts related to the America’s Cup have been added to our list, which uses Twitter accounts that have a Bermuda connection. Oracle Team USA and Artemis Racing, which have a home base here, as well as the official ACEA account, all made the list. SoftBank Team Japan would also be eligible if it gets enough followers.

The official AC account, which lists Bermuda as its location, jumps onto the list at number two with more than 80,000 followers, bumping reggae star Collie Buddz to the third spot.

Oracle Team USA comes in at number five with more than 43,000 followers and Artemis, with its 14,000+ followers number 17.

There were also two other new entries this month, Happy-Me Bermuda, which joins the top 10 with more than 26,000 followers, and the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s Italian account. Ente Turismo Bermuda has almost 7,000 followers and is number 30.

With all the new entries, the minimum number of followers needed to make the Top 50 surpassed the 3,000 mark for the first time.
