Man Fined For Spearfishing Too Close To Shore

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Nov 16], a 22-year-old man was fined $250 for spearfishing too close to Bermuda’s shoreline.

Joshua Usher pleaded guilty to spearfishing within one mile of Bermuda’s shoreline in September 2013, and was fined by Magistrate Archie Warner.

The Crown Prosecutor told the Magistrate that Marine Police had been informed of the illegal activity and had gone to investigate.
