What kind of plane is it?

  2. BLOW IN says:

    A SMOKEY ONE

    • Brandon says:

how would you like to be a passenger on that flight .. it won’t be as funny as your krazy answer would it !!!

  3. Terry says:

    “AIR”

  4. High road says:

    Boeing 777 – 300ER

  5. Raymond Ray says:

Thank God, (of my understanding) there hadn’t been a far-more serious outcome…
We maybe a dot in the Atlantic but we certainly do come in handy.

  6. Terry says:

    Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    People can google.

This will make the new airport even better.

All we need now is Betty to install the Cahow Rey-Darh.

    • Doug says:

no Google here, it’s obvious for that route what it was

  7. Terry says:

    Can’t wait for the up-dates.
People getting off and local emergency personel in breathing apparatus.

    I need a double.

  8. Cup Of Tea Anyone? says:

hope they give thos poor passengers some free tea while they wait

  9. UmJustSaying says:

‘Extended Range’ not the other ER

    • Brandon says:

ER stands for ” Extended Range ” And they also have have the B 777-200 LR which stands for ” Long Range ” these have a longer range and are around some 6 feet shorter in length but the wingspan remains the same and that’s what give them it’s longer range ..

  10. mixitup says:

Glad for a safe landing.. Bermuda is in a great location for these diversions (the many we get a year) we have to always have our ‘a’ game on with regard to our response, that’s a very large airplane and Lord forbid that day that it doesn’t end well, on another note, it’ll be nice to see something like that land on a scheduled flight…. Minister are you listening?

  11. swing voter says:

so this plane (and others) fly from Europe, and actually flies over Bermuda to the Dominican? And how much further is the Dominican from Bermuda? And what does the Dominican offer that we don’t? HELLO BTA HELLO? IS ANYONE HOME BTA? HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    • Doug says:

they don’t really fly “over” Bermuda. BDA is the only spot near the major route from EU to the Carribean. Even then, it’s almost a thousand mile divert from that route in an emergency

    • Raymond Ray says:

Can it possibly be the cost of living in the Dominican Republic, it’s less expensive to enjoy ones vacation? Or, is it that many passengers are just Dominicans that are travelling to and fro either home on vacation or back abroad to work?

    • Yamon says:

      Dominican is cheap.

    • Micro says:

      Less uptight women?

    • Serious says:

So the BTA should make us like Dominican Republic?? Yeah right because so many of their women would rather stay there than come Bermuda….said no one ever. Yeah it’s cheaper there but I don’t think we wanna replicate them. Every plane doesn’t fly over Bermuda oh brilliant one, just like every car doesn’t go on middle road to Hamilton. Stick to your day job please.

    • Brandon says:

it’s not a matter of what the DR has to offer than we do .. we must remember that safety is the number one so whomever is closer the better it was better to have landed in BDA than to have carried on to the DR … smart move I must say

  12. Terry says:

    $25 a night in “Dominican”
    Bermuda?
    Research.

  13. Cup Of Tea Anyone? says:

    *This just in*

The REAL reason they diverted was because the passengers, obviously, were craving tea.

    toodles

  14. Some Beach says:

I’m just extreemly happy we could be of assist…

  15. Widget says:

@Cup of tea Anyone. Give us something tangible to digest instead of your mushroooooom tea requests., please I want to take serious.

    • Cup Of Tea Anyone? says:

Are you jealous? i could invite you over for a cup of tea if you like…..

  16. maggie benn says:

In response to the commentor drawying BTA’s attention to flights overflying Bermuda from Europe enroute to destinations south of us – BTA I have a marketing idea which I am sure could work – why dont we market Bermuda for the holidays as a ‘PROMISED WHITE CHRISTMAS” and use the play on words over the Christmas Period to promote our (white and pink) beaches and the warm weather during the Christmas period???? Wonderful for golf, swimming, bike riding, lovely way to spend christmas for all those folk toiling away in feets of snow – a nice relief and break from the dreary, dark, depressing winter months for them I am sure with lots of WHITE (or pink) sand to enjoy.
Thank you and I hope my MARKETING IDEA might find some traction with the powers that be!

  17. Alin says:

They’ve got coffe, tea, sodas, juices and food, all free for them, airline was charged for that, I was there serving them !
La Trattoria Sport’s Bar and Restaurant !!!

    • Cup Of Tea Anyone? says:

oh thats lovely! everyone should have a cup of tea in stressfull situations.

  18. DAVE says:

  19. darren says:
