Harrington Sound PTA Calls “Urgent” Meeting

November 23, 2015

The Harrington Sound Parent Teacher Association will be hosting an “urgent” meeting tomorrow [Nov 24], set to be held at Harrington Sound School’s auditorium starting at 6.00pm.

The meeting is being held in reference to changes to the Education Amendment Act 2015, and how the changes will “have a major impact on our island’s public schools, educators, and students in the very near future.”

Deanne Trott, President of Harrington Sound Parent Teacher’s Association, said, “The future of our children’s education is in dire straits. We implore parents of Harrington Sound School students to attend this very important meeting.

“If you cannot attend, send a grandparent, family member, or a friend; we believe your support in this matter is imperative.”

The event will feature two speakers, including BPTSA Chair Harry Matthie and West Pembroke PTA president Rene Dill, who will “provide clarity on the amendment and its effects on schools across Bermuda.”
