Michael Cherry Receives FEI Badge Of Honour
The Bermuda Equestrian Federation [BEF] announced that at the Federation Equestre Internationale [FEI] 2015 General Assembly recently held in Puerto Rico, President Ingmar De Vos presented a FEI Badge of Honour to retired BEF President Michael Cherry.
Before retiring in August 2015, Mr. Cherry served as the BEF President for 20 years; a position he held with great commitment and dedication.
During his tenure, Mr. Cherry represented Bermuda at 15 FEI General Assemblies.
The FEI, which was founded in 1921, is the international governing body for equestrian sports.
It establishes the regulations and approves equestrian programs at Championships, Continental and Regional Games as well as the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Federation Equestre Internationale [FEI] and the Bermuda Olympic Association recognize the Bermuda Equestrian Federation [BEF] as the national equestrian federation of Bermuda.
The BEF is an entirely amateur organization and is run solely by volunteer members.
Well done Dad. Much deserved.
Thank you for all your efforts within the Bermuda Equestrian Federation and the FEI.
Congratulations Mike! Well deserved.
Congrats.
Very well done and well deserved!
SMH!
