Berkeley Institute Forms New “Prefect Council”
The Berkeley Institute has formed a new Prefect Council which provides an enhanced opportunity for student leaders to promote the school’s core values regarding academic excellence, student conduct, leadership, and development by encouraging and reinforcing positive behavior among their peers.
It is led by the six Head Students and five Council officers, and will provide leadership and some supervision to teams of School-wide and Year Level Prefects with whom they will perform assigned duties.
This council will be empowered to reward positive behavior through the dissemination of merits and to monitor detentions for selected minor infractions.
