Video: Bermuda Featured On “Unseen Islands”
Bermuda is one of the islands highlighted on the National Geographic television series ‘Unseen Islands,’ with the narrator saying that Bermuda has an “amazing story to tell.”
The episode is centered around Britain’s Overseas Territories, which the promo said “are home to parrot fish, bright blue lizards and crabs that are big enough to eat coconuts.
“There are few unexplored areas left, but these unseen islands offer an extraordinary look into lost worlds. Many of the Caribbean Islands were created by volcanoes which destroy everything in their path but also bring new life,” fhe promo adds.
In introducing the segment on Bermuda, the narrator says, “Our next stop lies in the vastness of the Atlantic. It’s the oldest of all the UK Overseas Territories…the island of Bermuda.
“The English settled here in 1612, so the main island is developed from shore to shore. It’s teeming with people, but Bermuda has an amazing story to tell – perhaps the most surprising story in the whole of the Caribbean.”
This television feature comes a few days after Bermuda was included in National Geographic Traveler magazine’s annual Best of the World list, which highlights 20 “must-see places” to visit around the world.

Bermuda is by far a great destination to visit and I wish that we would capitalize on our tourism product, and revive our tourism industry. we have so much to offer as a destination and I think with our modernization, coupled with some of our old style Bermudian jewels, we are still by far second to none.
This is a beautiful country and our people are by far the best, Yes I am a true Bermudian and I love my Island home.
Unfortunately we are sooo expensive we can only target and market to a tiny percentage of the extremely well off. We cannot hope to attract families we need to use very specific marketing to target 35-45 year old high net worth individuals.
Unfortunately, you are spot on.
Yeah but with the new tourism, all inclusive mega ships Bermuda has been hurt because not many are sleeping in her hotel rooms or eating in her restaurants.
Thank you Bernews,I’ll look for this TV program.
Nice little blurb on the Cahows.
Wouldn’t want to bump into one of those crabs on a dark night.
Username checks out.
