Blazers, YMSC, Hamilton, Hornets & PHC Win

Boulevard Blazers, Young Men Social Club, Hamilton Parish, Dandy Town Hornets, and PHC Zebras all walked away with wins following this weekend’s football action.

Boulevard Blazers 6 Somerset Trojans 2

At the Police Field the Boulevard Blazers stormed into the next round of the FA Challenge Cup, with a 6 – 2 victory over the Somerset Trojans. Ian Coke gave the Boulevard Blazers in the 12th minute, TiaeVince Douglas doubled the Boulevard Blazers lead when he scored from close range one minute into the second half, Coke would then make it 3 – 0 to the Boulevard Blazers when he would tap in from a good build up and then two minutes later it was 4 – 0 with a Dunn-Ya Taylor strike.

The Somerset Trojans would get on the scoresheet when Johnathan bean found the back of the net in the 72nd minute, but the Boulevard Blazers would restore their four goal lead with a Reiko Trott penalty kick five minutes later. Leo Burgess found the back of the net for the Somerset Trojans in the 80th minute and then five minutes later the man who opened the scoring closed it with a 30 yard rocket completing his hat-trick.

Young Men Social Club 1 St. David’s 0

At the PHC Stadium, a Clay Darrell goal in the 14th minute earned the Young Men Social Club a 1 – 0 win over St. David’s.

Devonshire Colts 0 Hamilton Parish 1

After a scoreless first half the lone goal of this game was an own goal in the 59th minute as Hamilton Parish defeated the Devonshire Colts 1 – 0.

Dandy Town Hornets 2 North Village Rams 1

At the St. John’s Field, the Dandy Town Hornets took the lead in the 29th minute when Dominique Lambert scored, K’Wonde Lathan doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead with a goal in the 67th minute, Shayne Hollis would pull a goal back for the North Village Rams, but they could not find the equalizer as the Dandy Town Hornets advanced with a 2 – 1 victory.

PHC Zebras 3 BAA 1

At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras advanced to the next round of the FA Challenge Cup with a 3 – 1 win over BAA. Shakir Smith opened the scoring for the PHC Zebras when he scored from a free kick in the 39th minute, Casey Castle would double the PHC Zebras lead with a goal in the 66th minute, Malachi Jones would pull a goal back for BAA in the 80th minute, but Castle would strike again in the 88th minute to end the game as a contest.

Southampton Rangers 1 Flanagan’s Onions 1

At the Southampton Oval, Southampton Rangers and the Flanagan’s Onions will need to suit up all over again after they played to a 1 – 1 draw. After a scoreless First Half Michael Lindsey-Bailey gave the Flanagan’s Onions the lead in the 46th minute, but Akale Bean would equalize for the Southampton Rangers in the 57th minute.
