BSSF School Sports Netball All-Star Results

The Bermuda School Sports Federation All Star Netball night recently took place, with the first match of the day seeing the West score eight fourth quarter points to pull away and win the Middle School Netball match.

The two teams were evenly matched through three quarters with the West leading 10-9. The West pulled away in the fourth to win 18-13. MVP Kaamilah Nasir from T.N. Tatem led the West with 10 goals.

Selah Tuzo from Saltus scored 4 for Winners while Megan Titterton of Saltus added two as did school mate Xe’azjah Paynter. The East was led by Christina Costello from Somersfield Academy, she also claimed the MVP scoring 7 goals, while Whitney’s Ieya Wainwright added 6.

The West again used a strong fourth quarter to win the Primary School match 14-11. The teams entered the fourth quarter tied at 9 each. Arriana Sabir from West End Primary led the West with 8 goals. Katelyn Madeiros from Bermuda High School added 3.

Azari Easton from West Pembroke scored two and K’Xiyae Gibbons from West Pembroke added one. The East were led by MVP Alexia Pascall from Francis Patton who scored six goals. Kesaye Bell from Northlands added five.

The Orange Select team scored early and often winning the Senior School Girls match 23-16. The Orange Team jumped out to a 10-2 first quarter lead and never looked back. They were led by Ishan-Nae Smith from CedarBridge Academy who scored 14 goals. BHS’ Jade Weaver scored 7 while MVP Amali Smith from Berkeley chipped in with two.

The Yellow Team got 8 goals each from the CedarBridge pair of Donnauri Robinson and Xah-Niyah Hunt. Cedarbridge’s Demiqua Daniels was named MVP for her team.
