Dog Owners Fined After Young Boy Attacked

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Jan 13], two Pembroke residents were fined for keeping illegal dogs, with the Court hearing one of the dogs bit a young boy.

Kirk Wade and Terrylyn Wade, both 52, pleaded guilty to keeping two pitbulls at their residence without a licence, in June 2015.

The charges came about after one of the pitbulls, which was at the time said to be under the care and control of their son Kyle Wade, had bitten a 9-year-old boy at Admiralty House Park,

The Court also heard that the two dogs have been put down.
