Court: Teenager Denies Theft Charges

Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Feb 16], Kyari Flood, 17, pleaded not guilty to a charge that between 10 – 11 February 2016, he entered a dwelling house and stole items valued at $750; and to the alternate charge of handling stolen goods.

The teenager also pleaded not guilty to a charge that he stole items including jewellery and cash to a total value of $2,285; and to the alternate charge of handling the goods.

The Duty Counsel pointed out to the Magistrate that she had been instructed that Child and Family Services were not willing to take Flood.

The Magistrate set trial for the same date in April but granted bail at $5,000 and required a surety.
