Donna Raynor Re-Elected As BNAA President

The Bermuda National Athletics Association [BNAA] held their AGM last evening [Feb 25], including elections with all officers up for re-election, with Donna Raynor running unopposed as president, retaining her position for the next period.

Three people were stepping down, including Michele Williams [Vice President], Robert Oliver [Treasurer], and Paul Simons [Board Member], with a total of eight people running for six director’s positions. All of the BNAA affiliates who could cast a vote were represented, including MAAC, Flyers Track Club, West End Athletic Club, Pacers Track Club, Bermuda School Sports Federation, and Swan’s Running Club.

Mia Black, currently a Board member, was re-elected and will assume the role of Vice President. Dr. Freddie Evans, also currently a Board member, was re-elected and will resume the role of General Secretary

Jose Miranda was elected as a new member to the Board will assume the role of Treasurer, while Angie Berry, currently a Board member, was re-elected and will resume the role of Legal Rep.

Additionally, Terry Lynn Paynter and Joyann Clarke were elected as new members to the Board.

BNAA President Donna Raynor said, “I as the President am very happy with the new selections to the Board. We thanked the 3 who were stepping down and they have contributed many years of their time to this Board and their experience will be missed but they are not far if needed.

“I believe this new Board brings new experiences, new energy and some new ideas. I look forward to working with them in these financially challenging times and with so much on the BNAA’s plate moving forward.”
