Police Respond To Disturbance, Theft & Burglary
Bermuda police responded to a number of reports recently, including that of a disturbance at The Rural Hill Plaza, a damaged taxi from which items were stolen, and a burglary in progress at a commercial property at Well Bottom in Southampton.
Police also confirmed that the 19-year-old woman involved in a single vehicle collision on St. John’s Road is still in hospital in serious condition in the ICU.
Disturbance Outside of Ice Queen
A police spokesperson said, “Police responded to a report of a disturbance at The Rural Hill Plaza outside of Ice Queen in Paget at 3:35am this morning [Friday].
“Upon police arrival it appears that a group of individuals were involved in an altercation resulting in projectiles being thrown.
“Three persons were arrested for warrants on the scene and inquiries into incident are ongoing.
Damaged Taxi
“Meantime, around 12:45am on Thursday police spoke with a complainant who stated that he parked his taxi outside of the RAA Club in St. Georges and upon his return to the vehicle he discovered that the rear window was smashed with the projectile still inside.
“It was also noticed that the taxi was ransacked with cash and a Microsoft tablet stolen. Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information on this incident to contact police on 2950011.
Burglary In Southampton
“Around 10pm on Thursday evening police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a commercial property at Well Bottom in Southampton, resulting in multiple police units attending the incident.
“Two males were pursued on foot and subsequently capture and arrested. An active investigation is now underway and police are appealing for anyone with any information on this incident to contact police on 295-0011.
Collision In Pembroke
“Finally, the 19 year old woman involved in the single vehicle collision on St. John’s Road is still in hospital in serious condition in the ICU.”
