[Updated] The father of the young lady killed in a hit-and-run admits to slapping the driver convicted of causing her death, a PLP MP says the “airport development will cost taxpayers millions contrary to Government promises,” and “civil authorities launch drone education programme after drone proliferation.” are some of the news stories set to be covered in this evening’s [April 20] ZBM newscast.
With an aim to expand the way they deliver their news to the community, the Bermuda Broadcasting Company is continuing to live stream their evening news programme for viewers both on the island and abroad.
ZBM said that their news programme this evening includes: “Father of fatal hit-and-run victim admits to assaulting driver, PLP MP says airport development will cost taxpayers millions contrary to Government promises, and civil authorities launch drone education programme after drone proliferation.” Their news programme will also include the weather, sports and more.

Hard to sell the airport when the debt incurred by the PLP has already sold Bermuda as a whole. Why is this PPP different to the new hospital wing? The PLP was very proud of that, even though it is only a wing and not a whole hospital and is costing Bermuda $40m a year.
So we gonna just sit in the whole plp dug, by doing the same thing with the air port deal? Or should learn from there mistakes and try to fix the mess we are in? Time to stop saying well the plp did it and do better…
I agree with you that we should do better. The PLP introduced the PPP concept with the hospital wing. If it was a good idea then, why is the airport not a good idea? If the hospital wing wasn’t then the PLP should come out and accept it wasn’t explain why and they would then have a stronger case against the airport. At least the airport deal has been reviewed by many outside parties including the UK Government.
Do we really need a completely new airport?
I think the hospital plan was a bad idea as well and we are going down the same path again with the air port… Take plp and Oba out of it… I just want to see what is best for our country.. Who cares about what outside parties and the plp think, what do YOU think as a bermudian.
