Football: Kappa Classic Day One & Two Results
The National Sports Center was full of activity this weekend as the Bermuda Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. hosted the Kappa Classic 2016.
In the first day of action in the Under 12 Boys Group One Division , St. David’s defeated BAA Knights 5 – 2 in their opening match, while the PHC Blacks defeated the Dandy Town Hornets 2 – 1.
In Group Two, the Somerset Trojans Blacks drew 0 – 0 with the PHC Zebras White’s, while Valencia Blacks came from behind to defeat the North Village Rams Reds 2 – 1.
The 2016 Kappa Classic moved into the Play-off stages on the second day.
In the Under 8 Play-offs, BAA Green defeated Valencia Black 2 – 0, while BAA Knights defeated the PHC Zebras Blacks 2 – 0. The St David’s Warriors went down 2 – 0 to the Dandy Town Hornets Browns and the Somerset Trojans Red defeated Hamilton Parish Maroon 2 – 0.
In the Under 12 Division Play-off’s, the North Village Rams defeated the PHC Zebras Blacks 3 – 2, the Paget Titans went down 1 – 0 to Valencia Black, Devonshire Colts went down 3 – 0 to Hamilton Parish Maroon and the Devonshire Cougars went down 3 – 2 to the BAA Greens.
The Under 14 Division Play-off’s saw the Devonshire Colts go down 1 – 0 to the Dandy Town Hornets, the PHC Zebras Whites defeated Valencia 1 – 0, the Dandy Town Hornets Golds fell 2 – 0 to the Somerset Trojans Black, while the North Village Rams went down 2 – 0 to the BAA Knights.
The BAA Knights went down 3 – 0 to Hamilton Parish, the PHC Zebras Black defeated the Somerset Trojans Black 2 – 0, while the Dandy Town Hornets defeated the BAA Greens 1 – 0 and the Somerset Trojans Reds defeated PHC Zebras Whites 4 – 0.
In Under 13 Girls Pool-Play, Valencia Gold went down 5 – 0 to Valencia Black, BHS Football Club defeated Warwick 5 – 0, the BHS Football Club then defeated Valencia Black 2 – 1, the match between Warwick and the Valencia Gold ended 0 – 0. Warwick went down 7 – 0 to Valencia Black and Valencia Gold defeated BHS Football Club 4 – 0.
The Under 16 Girls Division saw Dandy Stars defeat the BHS Football Club 4 – 0, Dandy Stars then defeated Valencia Gold 1 – 0 and then Valencia Gold defeated the BHS Football Club 5 – 0. In the one Play-Off match to see who will meet Dandy Stars the BHS Football Club went down 2 – 0 to Valencia Gold.
