Netball: Teachers, Old Girls, National, BAC Win
The Bermuda Netball Summer League season resumed following the Bermuda Day Holiday break with four games played at the Bernard Park.
The Teachers defeated the Summer Ballers 25 – 19, the Teachers were led by Danielle Raynor who scored 13 goals, Debbie Deshield added 8 goals, with Tanika White scoring three times and Camille Edness scored twice. Ebonie Burgess scored 10 goals for the Summer Ballers who also got 9 goals from Tamera Simons.
The Village Old Girls defeated the Signworx Netts Juniors 29 – 17. Nichole Smith scored 15 goals and Selina Bascome added 14 goals for the Village Old Girls, while Amaiah Butterfield scored 10 goals for the Signworx Netts Juniors, while Elishe Smith added 7 goals.
Kaamilah Nasir scored 10 goals to lead the National Junior to a 29 – 18 win over the Stars. Inshan-nae Smith added 9 goals, while Demiqua Daniels and Zekiah Lewis both scored 5 goals. Peaches Samuels scored 16 goals for the Stars and Eshe Grant scored twice.
The B.A.C Women in Blue defeated the Swallows 47 – 13, Kirstin Saltus led the B.A.C Women in Blue to victory with 21 goals, Nikita Trott added 16 goals, Xon-naye Hunt assisted with 9 goals and Darrika Simons scored once. The Swallows got 9 goals from Talia, while Shallan Dennis added 4 goals.
