June 3, 2016

Shadow Sports Minister Weeks is urging people to come out and support Bermuda’s football and rugby teams tomorrow, as our football team is set take on the Dominican Republic in their Caribbean Cup game, while our rugby team is set to play the Bahamas in their World Cup Qualifier.

“Tomorrow, Saturday June 4th, the Bermuda National Football Team will face off against the Dominican Republic at the National Sports Centre in the Caribbean Cup, and my Progressive Labour Party colleagues and I encourage the island to rally behind our players in support,” Mr Weeks said.

“The game will kickoff at 9:00 pm with the gates opening at 7:30 pm. General admission is $25 with Seniors and Children under 12 only $15. Not only are we encouraging all Bermudians to attend, but we are also asking that we all wear our team’s color, red. Let’s come out in full force tomorrow, supportive of our athletes and enjoy time together as a community.

Mr Weeks also urged locals to support our rugby team, with their match set to kick off at 4.30pm tomorrow at the National Sports Center North Field.

“We wish our teams every success in the games as they continue to train and represent us proudly,” added Mr Weeks.
