Police: Front Street Is Now Open To All Traffic

July 23, 2016

Following the fire on Front Street on Thursday morning, traffic restrictions were put in place resulting in motorists traveling into the city experiencing delays. Restoration work is underway and Police today [July 23] said that Front Street is now open to all traffic and a temporary sidewalk has been setup.

The blaze took hours to get under control, and caused major damage to the buildings and resulted in office closures. Businesses affected included Onion Jack’s, the Chewstick Foundation, and the Queen Management Companies [Bermuda Executive Services, Atlantic Caregiving and Island Bargains], with all sustaining extensive damage to their premises.

Fire Service did a tremendous job saving Front Street.

Nothing to do with the Police.

    They took control.
    Saved lives and property.

    Well done.

    Medals to come for all.

    Shalom.
