Celebrations As Portugal Wins 2016 Euro Finals
Docksiders on Front Street was once again the scene of celebrations, following Portugal’s win in the 2016 European Championship this evening [July 10], with Portugal defeating France 1 – 0 in the finals.
After the first 90 minutes resulted in a 0 – 0 draw — with Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo being carried off on a stretcher in the first half — the game went into extra time, and in the 109th minute Eder scored for Portugal to claim the 1 – 0 lead, a score that held until the final whistle.
Yeah!!!!!!
They scrapped through……
So much so they were able to defend well and take the trophy home. Fifa ranking has Portugal at 8th best team in the world and 2nd in Europe, so clearly they are a great team.
And where they rank pretty boy faker Rinaldo.so sore he was able to celebrate

Let us not forget most Portuguese in Bermuda are born here.I appreciate how you support the motherland of your ancestry and how you celebrate big when they are successful. Its strange that Bermudians of west indian and African descent don’t celebrate to that degree when West Indies win the WC Cricket….How awkward would that be to motorcade!

Portugal is happy in a way that Renaldo didn’t play because it shows Portuguese can win without the most expensive player in the world and the most followed sports star on social media.
Portugal are a pretty ordinary side, but their resiliance won the day. Ironic given Ronaldo’s earlier comment about Iceland being small minded, they were exactly that, no ambition or adventure, they sat back for 120 mins. It was a poor final for the neutral.
You are obviously NOT a football fan. Go back and review the past Euro and World finals of the last 20 years and then tell us which ones were incredible exciting for a neutral.
Ronaldo was in the game and the win…when not on the pitch he was motivating his team as a captain does.
Tournaments are a squad game….The right balance on and off the field, in the downtime and in the preparation.
