I notice that the travel cost of you and your cohorts seems reasonable and not over the top. Thats important but you should know that gay Bermudians paid for approximately 10 per cent of your travel and did not receive the same rights and courtesies as even the most ignorant strait voter(plenty of em) Oh and I am strait, married and a father.Taking a pass to avoid political fallout may work for many, but not me.

Steve I think that it is only fair that you accept the outcome. Calling people names as a result of their right to vote is unbecoming of any strait married father. I to appreciate the cost of the New Port/New York visit and have questions as to the Premiers abstention as well but he will answer for his actions shortly as the election nears. However I would emplore you and others like you to take this opportunity to educate Bermuda’s populace rather than further divide with name calling. Personally they’re other segments of Bermuda that need their rights acknowledged before we tackle gay rights and if you were to assist them in their cause maybe just maybe they would be compelled to assist you in yours…….. ALL LIVES MATTER!

I don’t really believe you are asking a question as you are enjoying a laugh at my statement. However I will try and explain my rationale.
It is widely accepted that the LGBT make up about 10% or the population (look it up).
Therefore it seems to be fair to state that 10% of gov revenue is produced by these same people.(seem reasonable?)
My point is- Travel by goverment officials will be paid for by tax/revenue that is partly funded by this group(yes/no?) of people and they have just been slapped in the face yet again.
