Police: Man Injured ‘Allegedly From A Firearm’

A 43-year-old man attended the hospital on Monday evening with what the police said was an “injury to hand allegedly from a firearm,” and the police said they are interested in speaking with anyone who was in the Astwood Park area of Warwick and noticed any suspicious activity or heard gunshots.

A police spokesperson said, “A 43-year-old Sandys man attended the hospital at 5:30pm on Monday evening with an injury to hand allegedly from a firearm and was subsequently treated and released.

“Details around this incident are still unfolding and police are interested in speaking with anyone who was in the Astwood Park area of Warwick and noticed any suspicious activity or who heard any gunshots around 3pm and 4pm to contact DS Dean Martin on 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 800-8477.”

    No offence to the Sergeant (Dean Martin) but this strikes me odd.

    The injured must know how this occurred.
    But maybe just not telling or too scared.
